Q: What makes Portraits by Sharon different from department store photo studios? A: Most studios only offer indoor photographs with fabric or paper backgrounds. Time is often limited to just 15 minutes for a session. You are usually charged a sitting fee on top of the cost of prints, and if you wish to purchase a CD the cost tends to be high. Portraits by Sharon is different in the fact that I come to you at the location of your choice. I mostly shoot outdoors so you have natural backgrounds. Sessions are 20 minutes at a bare minimum and I am always open to your ideas and the use of personal props. I charge flat rates for my sessions and every customer will receive a digital download of their images with the documentation to have them printed anywhere they choose. Currently, I am unable to offer prints but will soon have a full selection of print sizes to meet your needs.
Q: Do you sell gift certificates? A: Yes. Feel free to contact me requesting the amount you wish to give. I will provide a printed certificate for your gift giving needs. Certificates expire 1 year from the purchase date.
Q: Do you shoot weddings? A: I no longer photograph weddings. However, I can refer an excellent wedding photographer at your request.
Q: Will you photograph a private event for me such as a birthday party, baptism, first communion, etc? A: Yes, I am available for these types of functions. The cost depends on the location and size of the event, as well as how long I will be needed. As with my portrait sessions, a CD of the images and print authorization will be included in the price. Cost for event photos starts at $50 per hour.
